  1. 6th straight, first TI 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Sep 2015

Purchased my first TI. I have multiple Sheffield and Solingen straights, but thought I would try a frenchie. I prefer a bigger blade because of my beard density, so I opted for a 6/8 over a 5/8. This was a great shave out of the box! I would highly suggest this to anyone who is getting into the art, or someone looking for a additional straight. What I really liked the most about it is how long the tang is. With my Aust, Dovo, WB, A&N....... I can only get 2 fingers between the scales and the blade. On this TI I can comfortably get 3. It gives me a little better control when using my left hand (I'm right handed), and is just more comfortable all around. If you are looking for a new straight, just go for it. Next I am going to have to try one of Luke's 7/8!
