  1. Restored Vintage Straight Razor 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Jul 2017

I received a nice looking sight unseen straight razor. It is a square point J.A. Henckels blade that was sold by Palace Hardware in S.F. I am not sure of the year, but the razor looks and shaves like a new blade. I was impressed with the condition of the razor. If you are looking for a nice start to the straight razor life, I would suggest buying one of their vintage restored razors.

  4. Great Quality Razor 5 Star Review

As a new straight razor user, I like most, invested in the gold dollar straight razor shaving starter kit and was for the most part satisfied. After several months of using and abusing the gold dollar razor, I was learning that it was time to acquire another razor and start a rotation of razors based on, the need to have a sharp razor at all times. With having the satisfaction in my initial experience, I decided to purchase another one through them. As a person who finds interest in vintage items (based upon our fathers and grandfathers pride and passion of true craftsmanship) the "begginers vintage Straight razor" is the one I purchased. I selected this one because of price. Once I received the razor, I was plesently surprised with the razor. It was a "Spear Wedge" razor and was actually in great condition. Im now very intrigued with what type of vintage razors you receive in the intermediate and experienced shaver options based on the quality of the begginer vintage. Long story short, I would highly recommend this razor option to anyone starting out or even an experienced straight razor shaver, and in fact I will be making another purchase of this type of razor in the very near future....

  6. Really nice Beginner Vintage Straight Razor 5 Star Review

I've always wanted a quality old razor, and was never able to find one that was worth having at a price I was willing to pay. Then I found these and not only got a nice functional razor but one that has been restored and is ready to shave out of the box. Thanks!

  7. Great vintage razor! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Dec 2015

I ordered the beginners vintage razor and as luck of the draw received an old American razor, a Shumate Tonso. This razor was top of the line for this St. Louis manufacturer. Although it showed signs of previous wear and some slight pitting, it arrived clean, with new scales, and super sharp and shave ready. If you don't mind some mild cosmetic imperfections and want a historic and serviceable razor, I would recommend one of the restored vintage razors. It is also recommended as a beginner razor because it is a relatively bargain price and comes sharpened and ready to shave.
